UNITED STATES 30-YEAR MORTGAGE RATE AT 3.78%
I reported “on the record” two weeks ago that the word on the street was mortgage rates were going lower. This morning, a 30-year fixed mortgage fell to a record low for the fourth straight week in a row. Boise Home Affordability is at an ALL-TIME low!
Rates on a 30-year mortgage loan dipped to 3.78%. This is down from 3.79% last week and the lowest since 30-year mortgages began in the 1950s.
The average rate on 15-year fixed mortgage held steady at 3.04%, matching the record low hit last week as well.
The average rate on the 30-year loan has been below 4% since early December, and this is much of why we are seeing activity in the Boise real estate market. Don’t let this opportunity pass by.
