I attended the inaugrual Startup Weekend Idaho in 2011, where Boise Premier was a Title Sponsor, and I was Blow Away. Looking back, it was one of the best business events I attended. For those who may not know, Startup Weekends are weekend-long, hands-on experiences where entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs can find out if startup ideas have a chance.
It all starts on a Friday night with a “pitch” in front of the group. Participants bring their best biz ideas and inspire others to join their gorup. Over the weekend the groups focus on customer development, product validation, practicing LEAN Startup Methodologies, building a MVP (minimal viable product), etc.
At the end of the weekend, the groups give a full presention to a full room and receive feedback from the pre-selected panel of “experts”. There is still time to register and this is the Do Not Miss entraprenurial event of the year.
